Introduction – The Samaritan Project is a community based non-profit hospice alliance group providing funds to those in need of hospice care who otherwise would be unable to obtain these services in Henderson County.
Mission Statement – To provide compassionate and quality care to those individuals and families seeking “end of life” care in Henderson County who do not have the financial means to obtain this service.
Vision – Community Hospice Alliance striving to develop and maintain a viable, transparent and responsible non-profit funded solely by donations and grants from our caring partners.
History - The Samaritan Project, Inc. was originally established in 1997 as a charitable non-profit division of Genesis Hospice for the purpose of providing quality hospice care to those without financial assistance at the time they most need it.
How we serve – The Samaritan Project, since its inception, has been able to provide over $70,000 pain management/palliative care and medical equipment to those families unable to obtain this on their own. Our funds are available primarily for pain management and medical equipment, but we can offer some financial assistance to caretakers of hospice patients.
Goal – Ultimately, the goal is to have an in-patient hospice facility available in Henderson County providing an alternative patient care site for those who are terminally ill and their families.
Funding - We are solely funded by memorials, donations and grants from our caring partners.
How you can help – We are always honored to be the designated charity of your choice. Memorials or donations may be addressed to:
